High performance rare earth magnets refer to the combination of high magnetic energy products or coercive force and magnetic energy products in the conventional sense. At present, the development degree of high-performance rare earth magnets is affected by the needs of the application industry.

Samarium cobalt magnets and NdFeb magnets belong to the rare earth magnet family, because their components are Sm, Co, Nd, B, Dy, Ga. They are the strongest permanent magnets currently available and produce a much stronger magnetic field than other types of permanent magnets such as ferrite or aluminum-nickel-cobalt magnets, as samarium cobalt has a magnetic energy product of about 15-30MGOe and sintered neodymium magnets have a magnetic energy product of about 27-50MGOe.

In the new era, constantly upgrading electric motors require higher coercive force. Therefore, the high operating temperature and coercivity can ensure strong demagnetization ability. For example, drive motors in new energy vehicles have strict requirements for magnetic coercivity due to high transient loads.

Are highly corrosive magnets the future direction of research?

In order to ensure that electric vehicles can continue to drive after experiencing the summer heat of more than 20 kilometers, many aspects need to be studied, such as magnetic properties, relative physical properties and reliable working life. Therefore, under the premise of ensuring the basic magnetic properties, extending the service life of rare earth magnets is one of the current and future development directions of permanent magnets.

What is the relationship between product homogeneity and magnetic declination?

The uniformity of the magnet module is related to the current stability of the motor output. When homogeneity is poor, the uneven distribution of magnetic field will cause motor vibration. Magnetic declination can be caused by many factors. One is a uniform material, the other is a uniform magnetization, and certain processes (such as magnet verticality) are also a factor.

What is the maximum operating temperature for sintered neodymium magnets?

At this moment, Ndfeb magnets cannot meet the operating temperature of 300 ° C. In fact, the operating temperature of neodymium magnets depends on their operating environment. Taking the drive motor in a new energy vehicle as an example, the heat resistance requirements of the drive motor magnet, whether 180 ° C or 200 ° C, depend on the power of the engine. In actual production, it is necessary to leave some space for the temperature stability of the magnet by selecting a higher operating temperature than the original operating temperature. Therefore, some companies will require the use of 220 ° C magnets.

Which magnet properties will affect the power and speed of the motor?

It is a rare earth permanent magnet rotor with simple structure, small size, light weight, low loss and high efficiency. Therefore, the motor power speed is usually related to the magnetic force.
